Common evening primose-Oenothera biennis-is a genus of over 200 species  and of course some or most are weeds.As the norm. some of the weed is has been used by man…the long tap root is considered edible like a parsnip and some are used by..moths.It is an attractive weed in the open and likes to say hi in the evening.

  1. I always wondered what evening primrose was. I have something similar, but smaller, in the garden some call evening primrose, but I know it isn’t because it closes in the evening.
