Thoreau for your Tuesday…

A warm westerly wind, the sky concealed and a storm gathering.a sober, cloudy afternoon.To-day i see yarrow, very bright:red clover, autumnal dandelion;…I make it my business to extract from Nature whatever nutriment she can furnish me,though at the risk of endless iteration.I milk the sky and the earth.

pic from Wikipedia-the pic is a autumn hawkbit-having several flower heads and the leaves appear to be longer and narrower, but same family-Asteraceae.All good in the neighbor.Text from “The Journal-1837-1861”.Nov 3,1853.Note I have observed some dandelions that are blooming but they do not appear to be autumn dandelions.
